Pau D’Arco comes from a bark of multiple species of Teabebuia trees, grown in South American rainforests. It can grow up to 125 feet tall and has pink-to-purple flowers, which bloom before new leaves appear. This tree is incredibly dense and rot-resistant wood is used by native peoples to make hunting bows.
This bark of the tree is used in traditional medicine and usually prepared as a tea.
